and my home number is 663-7123. My office hours for the fall
term of 1997 are Monday 3A, Tuesday 2:00-3:00, Wednesday 4A, Friday 4A.
If you need help at some time other than office
hours, you are welcome to drop by.
Your Grade
Your grade in the course will be determined by your performance
on two midterm exams, a final exam, and homework. The exams will
each count for 30% of your grade, and homework will count directly
for 10%. I have noticed, however, that students who do the homework
usually do better on the exams than students who don't, so the
indirect value of homework is a lot greater than 10%.
Homework
You may work with each other on the homework, but please hand in
separate write-ups of the problems.
