Exam corrections
Submit via paper or Slack DM
Due: 1:00PM Friday, May 13
Rubric
You will end up with two scores: your original score on the exam and your score on the corrected exam. For purposes of computing your final course grade, I will average these two scores to count as your midterm exam score.
Your corrected score will be computed like so. First, I'll assign scores to each of the new answers you submit, and add up that total. Second, I will take all your original scores from the questions for which you did not submit corrections, and add those original scores to the total. Note that it is possible to achieve a score lower than your original by submitting worse answers than you originally submitted. I think that's pretty unlikely, but do keep in mind that you should only submit corrections for stuff you got wrong in the first place.
Constraints
- Open book, open internet
- Closed people. That is, don't talk to anybody else (except for Jeff) about the questions on the exam, don't post questions in online forums, etc.
- Please do not write on your original exam (though I recognize that this request is coming a couple hours too late).
What to hand in
Produce a type-written document, separate from your original exam paper, containing the answers you want me to regrade (and only the answers for regrading—I don't want to see any of your already-correct answers again). Make sure your new answers are clearly labeled (e.g. "4.(c)").
Do not write new answers on the old exam.
Submit your original exam plus your new answers together.
Option 1: paper
Staple your new answers in front of your original exam and hand the whole batch in to me (either in class Friday or in my office through 1:00).
Option 2: digital
Make a clear scan of your original exam and append it to your new answers document. Submit via Slack direct messaging to me.
