CS Comps advising
I am a professor of computer science at Carleton College, where I teach Introduction to Computer Science, Data Structures, Programming Languages, Database Systems, Parallel and Distributed Computing, "Art, Interactivity, and Microcontrollers," Making Decisions with Artificial Intelligence, and other occasional courses.
My research interests span across solving machine learning and data mining problems, collaborative human/computing systems, and computer science education. Being able to help solve important real-world problems by applying computing-based data analysis techniques is really rewarding. Most recently, I have been looking to use data analysis techniques to better understand patterns in insulin sensitivity found in people with diabetes.
