Carleton College CS 107, Explorations in Computer Science
Assignment:
Turn in Laboratory 4, Exercises 3 and 4. Here are some clarifications.
For Exercise 3:
- You don't need to actually provide an answer for questions 5 or
6. The "answer" to this lab is ultimately the screenshot you show
with your complete circuit.
For Exercise 4:
- Question 2 should be clarified as follows: "Build a circuit with
three switches on the left, two truth tables in the middle, and two
outputs on the right. The top two switches should correspond to 'A'
and 'B', which are two binary digits to be added. The bottom switch
should correspond to the carry-in bit described on pages 103-104 of
your textbook and in class."
- Question 3 should be clarified as follows: "Set up the top truth
table box to implement the Sum column on p. 104 of your textbook,
and set up the bottom truth table box to implement the Carry-out
column.
