Assignment:
- Work through Laboratory 3a. The version that is on the CD-ROM
has a bug in it, so make sure that you use the version of this lab
linked from the course web page. Staple to the lab any screen shots
and extra paper required.
- Turn in Exercise 1.
For problem 3, make sure you write your answers in 2's complement
form.
Add the following question:
7) Rewrite the following base-ten numbers as 16-bit two's complement
integers: -2, 31, and -50. Make sure to show your work to indicate that
you actually know how to do these conversions.
- Turn in Exercise 2 (skipping question 4), and add the following
additional question:
7) Write the number -8.625 in 32-bit floating point form. Make sure to
show your work to indicate that you actually know how to do these
conversions.
