- The final project was assigned in class on
Monday, 27 February 2006. It's due by 5:00p on Wednesday, 15 March
2006.
- Lab times for final project questions: DLN 2–3:30p Monday,
Paul 8–9p Monday, DLN sporadically 7–9:30p Monday (he's
giving a final); DLN 10–11a Tuesday, Paul 8–11p
Tuesday.
- Exam #2 will be given in class on Wednesday, 7 March 2006.
- There will be a review session for the second exam on Monday, 6
March 2006, 7:00p in the normal classroom.
- Problem Set 6 was assigned in class on
Monday, 27 February 2006. It's due by 11:59p on Monday, 6 March
2006.
- Peer evaluations for PS5 are due by
Thursday, 2 March 2006, at 11:59p.
- Problem Set 5 was assigned in class on
Wednesday, 22 February 2006. It's due by 11:59p on Monday, 27
February 2006.
- Peer evaluations for PS4 are due by
Wednesday, 22 February 2006, at 11:59p.
- Due on Wednesday, 22 February 2006, before class: write binary
search. Submit via hsp in a directory called binarysearch;
for the files you need to get started, look in
/Accounts/courses/cs117/dlibenno. You'll need to copy
ArrayUtils.java into your binarysearch directory.
- Peer evaluations for PS3 are due by
Sunday, 12 February 2006, at 11:59p.
- Problem Set 4 was assigned in class on Friday,
10 February 2006. It has two parts, one group and one individual.
The group part is due by 11:59p on Thursday, 16 February 2006. The
individual part is due by 11:59p on Sunday, 19 February 2006.
- Problem Set 3 was assigned in class on Friday,
27 January 2006. It's due by 11:59p on Wednesday, 8 February
2006.
- For the lab on image processing, here
is everything you need.
- There will be a review session on Wednesday, 1 February 2006, at
8:00p in CMC 210 (our normal classroom). It will last until either
(a) 9:30p, or (b) you run out of questions, whichever comes
first.

Sunday, 29 January 2006, at 11:59p.
- Problem Set 2 was assigned in class on Monday,
23 January 2006. It's due by 4:59p on Thursday, 26 January 2006.
- There's a session for prospective computer science majors on
Tuesday, 24 January 2006, at 5:30pm in CMC 206. (Meet CS faculty and
students, learn about CS, and eat pizza.) See you there!
- Groups have been assigned for the second block of
assignments. They were sent out by email on Sunday morning, 22 January
2006. Please let me know if you didn't receive a group
assignment!
- Lab 4 was assigned in class on Wednesday, 18 January 2006. It's
due by 11:59p on Sunday, 22 January 2006. There will be more time to
work on it during class on Friday.

Wednesday, 18 January 2006, at 11:59p.

- Problem Set 1 was assigned in class on Wednesday, 11 January 2006.

by 11:59p on Thursday, 12 January 2006.
- Prefecting sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
9–11pm in CMC 304/306. Cookies for the first two sessions!
- There were some ITS-based problems on the night of Tuesday, 10
January 2006. (Some people couldn't log in, some people couldn't use
hsp, etc.) If you had a problem submitting Lab 2, don't worry.
You'll have a chance to submit it during class on Wednesday.
- Lab 2 was assigned in class on Monday, 9 January 2006. It's due
by 11:59p on Tuesday, 10 January 2006.
- Groups have been assigned for the first few assignments. They were
sent out by email on Saturday evening, 7 January 2006. Please let me
know if you didn't receive a group assignment!
- Here
is the information about installing Java on your own computer, for
those who were asking.
- The first prefecting session will be held on 5 January 2006 from
8–10p in CMC 304/306.
- PS0 is due on Friday, 6 January 2006.
- If you email me regarding the class, please include "CS117" in the
subject line.
- There is a form for office-hours scheduling
available. Please fill it out as soon as possible, but no later than
31 December 2005 -- be sure to include your email address -- and I'll
schedule office hours in the near future.
