MAT 223: Multivariable Calculus

With the exception of survey1, all other items should be completed before next class. There is nothing to hand in.

1. If you don't have a Bethel Zoom account, go sign up for one. Make sure you are logged in when you connect to our subsequent Zoom meetings. A personal Zoom account won't work.
2. Read the syllabus (the course web page). Bring questions you have to class on Day 2. You will sign something in the next item to indicate you read and agree with the syllabus.
3. I would like to get to know each of you a bit. Find survey1 on Moodle and fill it out by Day 3.
4. Read textbook section 9.2. Always pre-read the section(s) to be covered the next class. I will not explicitly list this starting next homework.
5. Install Mathematica. Instructions and resources can be found on the Bethel network.
6. Watch Hands on Start to Mathematica video (at least the first 26.5 minutes) if you want a refresher, or if it's new to you.

   Note: when using Mathematica for our class, use correct syntax. Do NOT use the "free-form linguistic input" they talk about in the videos.

7. Read the homework guidelines, follow it for all subsequent homework assignments unless otherwise specified.
8. Start working on hw03, which is especially long.
