I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Carleton College. For my doctoral work, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I was advised by Professor Michael Gleicher. I study data visualization with a particular focus on visual exploration of large text corpora. My broader research interests include human-computer interaction, digital humanities, natural language processing, and procedural rhetoric.

Before attending UW-Madison, I attended Carleton as an undergrad. When I'm not doing CS work, I spend laughable amounts of time playing and coaching ultimate frisbee.
